Steve Friar

A graduate of West Catholic High School and Grand Valley State Colleges, Steve began his career in the accounting department of Rapistan, Inc in Grand Rapids.   After 17 years in finance management for several West Michigan manufacturers, Steve made the decision to start his own practice in June 1991.

ISteve has been married to Debbie since 1982 and has 3 children: Matt, Emily and Jared. Steve is the proud grandfather of Brenna, Max and Jack.

Art Swiatek

 Art was born & raised in Muskegon, MI. He enjoys the changing seasons and outdoor activities that West Michigan has to offer. Art has been married 34 for years to Sandy and they have three children, Heather, Mindy & Chris.

Art graduated from Mona Shores high school and Muskegon Business College, which allowed him to pursue a career in finance/accounting for several West Michigan manufacturers.  His first job was with Rapistan, Inc in 1974. Art has been with Brillcast since 1991. Art has been preparing taxes since 1995.  

 Matt Friar

Matt previously worked as Marketing & Business Development Coordinator for a premier West Michigan Mergers & Acquisition firm. He created and managed marketing programs for clients, was instrumental in new client acquisition and lead the firm's marketing initiatives. Matt is a summa cum laude graduate of Alma College, where he became the college's first Fulbright Fellow. He resides in Grand Rapids with his three children.

Debra Friar

Deb Friar was born and raised in the small lakeshore community of Ludington. Immediately upon graduating from high school, Deb ventured into the city of Grand Rapids where she has resided ever since. 

Along with raising her family, Deb has over 25 years of administrative experience, eight of which were for a public accounting firm. 

Her hobbies include gardening, interior design and numerous other artistic endeavors.
